GEO Project Class: Intermediate ArcGIS Pro

MAGIC has partnered with Mississippi State University’s Geospatial Education and Outreach (GEO) Project to offer a two-day Intermediate ArcGIS Pro class. This training will be in-person in DeSoto County, Mississippi, just 10 miles south of Memphis. Registration is available now at a cost of $169.00 per individual attendee, or at no cost for all local, state, and federal government employees. Details:

This course will extend basic GIS skills and introduce students to more complex analysis methods using ArcGIS Pro.

Topics Covered

  • Advanced techniques for visualization of data, including 3D

  • Editing of more complex data, including topology

  • More robust methods for analysis of data, including raster data

Prerequisites:

This course requires a working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro basic skills such as creating new projects, editing feature classes, using geoprocessing tools, and managing data within the Catalog.

The Geospatial Education and Outreach (GEO) Project serves as Mississippi's leading source of geospatial education and technical information for the communities of Mississippi. Supported through collaborative efforts of the Mississippi State University Extension Service, the Geosystems Research Institute, and Northern Gulf Institute (a NOAA Cooperative Institute), this project provides training and technical assistance in the use, application, and implementation of geospatial technologies.
