Don't miss this new URISA Conference!
Location, Enterprise Addressing, and Public Safety (LEAP) Conference
URISA has a long history of delivering resources and educational content focused on addressing and emergency response. Leading national addressing experts and members of URISA's GIS & NG9-1-1 Task Force regularly provide resources to meet the professional education needs of the community from Geospatial Fact Sheets, workshops, and webinars to the development of the United States Thoroughfare, Landmark, and Postal Address Data Standard.
Now, we're pleased to announce a new URISA Conference to collaborate on Location, Enterprise Addressing, and Public Safety (LEAP) taking place virtually in February.

Registration
Registration is now open for this 3-day educational conference. The cost for URISA members to attend is only $75; the nonmember registration fee is $150.
Get a group of staff members - as many as you like - to view the proceedings together (perhaps in a conference room with snacks!) for the affordable member price of $175, nonmember price of $250. If registering for a group viewing, one primary contact should register as Team (Member or Nonmember). That individual will receive the log-in/personalized connection information.
Sponsorship
2022 LEAP SPONSORS:
In lieu of an exhibit hall, we are pleased to offer sponsorship packages to provide opportunities for software companies and consultants to demonstrate their support for this conference. These packages will offer different perks at different price points.
This virtual conference offers solid educational content curated by subject matter experts along with opportunities for attendees to learn about products/services/solutions from event sponsors. Without an exhibit hall, sponsors will have dedicated space on the program (from lightning talks to multi-hour workshops) designed to inform and connect with attendees.
Consider one of these participation packages (neither of which includes staffing a virtual booth):
SPONSOR $2,500 – (only four opportunities available)
Recognition as major conference sponsor during the opening and closing sessions
Registration for up to 20 staff members to attend the LEAP Conference
Sponsor Showcase Session – Opportunity to present your solutions (case study with or without a client, demo… whatever you wish to share with the attendees) in a 20 minute dedicated session on February 1 or February 3.
Opportunity to host a do-it-yourself 2 or 4 hour workshop/training session on the afternoon of February 3 (host it on your own platform, set up your own registration form – URISA will promote it to LEAP attendees)

Previous Events/History
URISA has frequently presented its addressing and emergency management focused workshops across North America and virtually and has incorporated substantial addressing, emergency response, and 9-1-1 education into it's GIS-Pro annual conference, typically held each Fall.
URISA has a long history of delivering resources and educational content. From "Street Smart and Address Savvy" to "Locating the Future", this conference has evolved since first presented in 1999. The emphasis on addresses has also advanced in order to keep up with changes in technology and the way addresses are created, collected and maintained.
Conference History: This conference evolved from URISA's successful Street Smart and Address Savvy Conference (held from 1999 to 2005):
1999: San Antonio, TX
2000: Baltimore, MD
2001: Milwaukee, WI
2002: Portland, OR
2003: Providence, RI
2004: St Louis, MO
2005: Austin, TX
In 2006 (in Nashville) and 2007 (in New Orleans), the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) joined URISA as a full partner in this educational program and the conference was re-named to the Geospatial Integration for Public Safety Conference (GIPSC). GIPSC brought together GIS professionals, addressing coordinators, 9-1-1 and emergency response specialists to one place for opportunities in networking and learning.
Following the 2007 conference, there was much discussion about bringing a bit more of the addressing focus back to the conference while continuing to bring the qualities of the GIPSC event to the program. The conference was renamed and refocused again and was presented as the URISA/NENA Addressing Conference:
2008: Portland, OR
2009: Providence, RI
2010: Charlotte, NC
2011: New Orleans, LA
2012: Memphis, TN
The conference was developed through abstracts submitted through a Call for Presentations and is organized through the expertise of a volunteer conference committee. Revitalized at the close of the 2012 Conference in Memphis, the conference was re-engineered and presented as: Locating the Future Conference November 3-6, 2013 St. Louis, Missouri.
