Description: This seminar focuses on fundamental geospatial concepts, methodologies, and the latest geotechnologies. Attend this exciting opportunity to:
Cover GNSS basics, horizontal and vertical datums, projections. (1hr)
Discuss basic field operations in the ArcGIS Ecosystem: (1hr)
Use ArcGIS Online to prepare feature layers, share data online, and visualize your findings via web map. (30min)
Review best practices, safety standards, and data collection tips & tricks. (30min)
Practice hands-on field data collection with ArcGIS Field Maps. (1hr)
Who Should Attend: This workshop is designed for individuals eager to harness the potential of GPS technology for field data collection. No prior mapping experience is required. Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, this session provides practical insights and hands-on experience.

Instructors:
Julie Kutz, ESRI TN - Julie Kutz is a Solution Engineer for the ESRI State & Local Government Team and a licensed drone pilot. She received her BS degree in Physical Geography and her GIS certification from the University of Georgia. Her background includes remote sensing and GIS in local government, and she enjoys working with different data types and bringing departments together. In her free time, she is often active outside and going on adventures with her dog.
Chris Zuniga, Bad Elf LLC - Chris Zuniga holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from Texas State University. He’s passionate about empowering students and professionals by fostering connections for growth and community service. As a Geospatial Enablement Specialist at Bad Elf LLC, Chris is focused on making high-accuracy data collection more accessible. By providing hands-on training for data collection, he helps ensure that anyone can leverage precise geospatial technology in their work.
