MAGIC Geospatial Conference Keynote Presentation to Discuss Future of Data Visualization

As Waldo Tobler stated, "Everything is related to everything else, but near things are more related than distant things", but what if we could use this wisdom and apply it to realms beyond the physical world? What if we could have a visual representation of the relationship between our datasets. This is to say, what if we could synthesize virtual space for phenomena which do not even exist in real space? How would they appear? What relationships would we discover? In this keynote, we dive into the future of visualization of our data using knowledge graphs, complex three dimensional symbologies, and virtual reality. Are you ready to see the future?

David Hansen

Mr. David Hansen is the Chief Executive Officer of GEO Jobe. Both David and GEO Jobe have been the recipient of many awards for the advancement of geospatial technologies. David began to study the geospatial field at the age of fifteen while participating in a pilot program for a curriculum geared toward teaching GIS to high school students. Since that time David has attained multiple degrees in GIS and related technology. David is often a guest speaker at conferences and universities around the country on the subjects of data science, machine learning, and the future of geospatial technologies.

Michael Roberson

Michael Roberson is the Chief Innovation Officer of GEO Jobe. Michael was previously a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and stood up their geospatial practice leveraging the expertise of GEO Jobe and the ArcGIS Enterprise System. While there, Michael demonstrated that GIS opens up the spatial dimension of data, which allows more questions to be answered. Michael believes that GIS is positioned to help revolutionize Business Intelligence and Business Consulting, but we must first reimagine the scale at which analysis can be done.
